refund and returns policy

Overview

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase or you no longer want the purchase, you can return the product to us and we will either replace it, or credit your account, subject to the terms below:

  • Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange.
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Returning your product

To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible please ensure that you package your products safely and securely during transit. We are entitled to inspect the product to validate your return

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. Your refund will then be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or an EFT will be made if you paid via your bank. Please ensure you have given us the correct account number as changes to an incorrect account number cannot be made. Proof of payment will be sent to you via email.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at carol@capetealsoaps.co.za 

Sale items

Sales items are fully refundable.

Exchanges

Any returned item can be exchanged for the same item, or any returned item can be exchanged for another item of the same value. Please stipulate which you would prefer in an email to carol@capetealsoaps.co.za We will collect the product from you and deliver the requested product to you at no charge. If we have no stock, we will refund you with the purchase price of the product within 10 days of the return.

Products damaged on delivery

Should a product be damaged delivery / collection, please notify us within 7 days of such delivery / collection by emailing carol@capetealsoaps.co.za

Defective Products

If you have received a product which turns out to be defective or otherwise of poor quality, please notify us by emailing carol@capetealsoaps.co.za as soon as reasonably possible after you become aware of the defect or poor quality, within 6 months after delivery / collection of the product. There is no extended supplier warranty period, so we cannot facilitate returns that fall outside of the 6 month period. To return your product, please email carol@capetealsoaps.co.za, who will then notify The Courier Guy to fetch the product(s) from you. We will arrange to collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, a replacement or refund will take place as soon as possible.
