Making of Spekboom Soap. We harvest the Spekboom leaves from the hedge at the back of our garden. The soap is made with a water reduction because we’ll be adding the Spekboom later on. Fist the Spekboom leaves are blitzed and added to yoghurt. This is left for 24 hours to allow the Spekboom to infuse the yoghurt. We make the soap base and once that is cooled we add the Spekboom yoghurt mix and put into moulds. Wonderful moisturizing Spekboom soap ready in 2 weeks.
