The Shmoo

The Shmoo is a shampoo bar made with 4 oils – coconut, olive, grapeseed and avocado.  Spirulina is added for the green colour (also helps that it is a super food) and rosemary for stimulate hair growth.  We decided to up the look of the bar and leave 30% plain and place it in the middle of the bar.  Once the whole bar was poured we used a hanger pull to develop a pattern which is not that evident as the pour was done at full trace.

Now to leave for 6 weeks for curing.

Update: – we no longer use the cold processed method but rather the hot processed method where the soap mixture is cooked in a crock pot for about 2 hours.  This helps with the longevity of the soap, the rosemary essential oil is more stable and it only takes 2 weeks to cure.
