A new slow pour soap – Blueberry Chocolate. The colours used for this soap are brown (real cocoa powder), blue mica and white mica. The fragrance used is Ylang Ylang. We measured 1000ml of brown, 450ml of blue and the remainder was white.
First we poured in a quarter of the brown mixture into the mould. We then poured in most of the blue in the middle while topping up the sides with brown. We then used the hanger to pull through the blue into the brown – you never know what it is going to look like until it s cut.
After that most of the white was gently poured on top (using a spatula so that the could would not break through), and then the blue and brown alternated on the top. Once that was completed a skewer was placed just through the top and a swirling pattern completed with a run around the edges at the end.
Now to leave for a week in the mould.
